St Isaac's is an ecumenical place of prayer and quiet set among the Hokianga hills. The ancient Prayer of the Church is prayed twice daily. Communion from the reserved sacrament is celebrated on Wednesday (visiting Clergy are welcome to celebrate if your stay is over a Wednesday). There is a well-stocked library, and the extensive grounds include the Stations of the Cross and several bush walks. We now have a large Labyrinth created around the bush and a marvellous place to 'simply be'.
Accommodation is in self-contained houses. We can accommodate small groups of up to 6 in individual rooms or up to 9 with some room sharing. The Warden’s House is furnished for groups to self-cater and share kai together. Or, consider making St. Isaac’s a place for your private annual retreat.

Context and vision: In response to our fast-paced worlds, Barbara and Lex are motivated to assist people to tune in, engage with God’s relational invitation to be found by love, and to develop creative ways to pray, communicate, and engage life in response.
Our Retreats: Our retreats are shaped to facilitate these things, that is to listen more deeply to ourselves, God, and one another, and to respond with courage. Specifically, we offer:
1. Silent space with or without spiritual direction conversation, morning and evening prayer, silence, centering prayer, and Lectio Divina
2. Structured one and five-day retreats for individuals and small groups.
3. Five-day de-briefing retreats for people in missions and ministry needing to restore and recalibrate.
4. 1-1 Spiritual direction, face-to-face and via Zoom
Place: Treetops Retreat rests in a forested valley on Banks Peninsula and provides 20 acres of safe space for listening a little more deeply with the support of native birdsong, bush walks, pondering magnificent views and the night sky.
Accommodation: Treetops cottage is self-contained and self-catered. Other accommodation options available by arrangement.
