The list is arranged by region (for New Zealand only), and includes photos and personal statements from each spiritual director to help you get a feel for who might be a good fit for you. What Spiritual Direction Brings to my Life
“My first director said “We’re not here to talk about your church" (the double whammy of pastor’s wife and co-pastor) "but about you and God.” Yikes. Spiritual direction gives me space to find myself and my God. So, I show up, journal in hand (or not), prayerful or prayer-less, empty or full and I am met by a listener who knows how to make room for God to meet me. She knows my God-stories, my family situations, the weird dreams, my deepest fears, hurts and greatest joys. Together we look and listen for God, hidden in the ordinariness of my life.”
— Fran Francis
“Spiritual direction helps me to delve beneath the surface of my everyday life stories, dreams and fleeting awarenesses to discover a holy ground full of beauty, passion and connectedness. It trains my antenna to see the subtle signals of spirituality.”
