Is retreat work the next step in your spiritual direction ministry?

Spiritual Growth Ministries are delighted to be running The Art of Facilitating Contemplative Retreats at The Friary in May 2025. This valuable professional development event for spiritual directors will be facilitated by Fran Francis.

This SGM live-in workshop will teach you how to plan, create and lead meaningful contemplative retreats in a variety of formats as well as learning about keeping the contemplative focus, working with a team, managing group spiritual direction and lots of other good things.

Evenings allow for time to get to know each other and working with films on retreat.

During this hands-on workshop you will work with others to create a retreat you can offer. Daily prayer together and a sense of community will enrich the workshop experience. Day attendance for the three days with lunch included is also an option.

9.30am-5pm Mon, 9am - 5pm Tues, 9am - 3pm Wed
Facilitator: Fran Francis
Cost: $520 Includes deposit, accomodation, linen, meals, teaching resources, costs for workshop leaders. Your place on this popular training event will be confirmed on payment of $50 non-refundable deposit.

• Unfortunately this workshop is not open to general attendance. It is professional development for trained spiritual directors.

• The Friary is affected by late cancellations and pass those risks/costs to us hence the need for a non-refundable deposit.

3. The remaining $470 will be payable by May 2nd, 2025.
